Phantom Integrates Kalshi to Offer Short-Duration Bitcoin Event Contracts
Crypto wallet Phantom has announced 15-minute Bitcoin prediction markets for US users through an integration with regulated exchange Kalshi.

Cryptocurrency wallet provider Phantom has unveiled 15-minute Bitcoin prediction markets as part of a US rollout in partnership with Kalshi. The initiative allows users to take positions on short-term price movements in the leading cryptocurrency directly through the wallet interface.
The feature relies on event contracts listed by Kalshi, an exchange regulated by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). These binary contracts settle on whether an asset reaches, exceeds, or falls below a designated threshold within a set period. By introducing 15-minute intervals, the integration provides high-frequency wagering opportunities on digital asset volatility.
Prediction markets operate by pricing contracts between zero and one dollar, with the market rate reflecting the collective implied probability of a given outcome. Unlike traditional derivatives that require complex margin management, binary event contracts carry strictly defined risk parameters, capping potential losses at the initial purchase price of the shares.
The move marks a notable bridge between self-custodial Web3 wallet applications and federally regulated financial exchanges in the United States. While decentralised prediction platforms have long served international crypto audiences, partnerships with domestic venues like Kalshi enable platforms to provide compliant trading products to US-based retail participants.
