Funding your account

Wallets used by prediction sites

Crypto-native prediction markets don't take card payments — you connect a wallet and fund your account with crypto, usually USDC. These are the wallets you'll see most often, and the listed platforms that support them.

MetaMask

Browser extension & mobile

The most widely supported wallet in prediction markets. Almost every crypto-native platform accepts MetaMask for deposits, trading and withdrawals.

Networks: Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Base, BNB Chain and most EVM networks

WalletConnect

Connection protocol

Not a wallet itself but the connect button you see on most platforms. It lets you link almost any mobile or desktop wallet by scanning a QR code.

Networks: Works with hundreds of wallets across EVM and other chains

Coinbase Wallet

Do you need a wallet?

It depends on the platform's funding type.

Regulated, fiat-funded platforms such as Kalshi or PredictIt take ordinary bank or card deposits — no wallet required. Crypto-native platforms such as Polymarket, Limitless or SX Bet require a self-custody wallet funded with crypto, most often USDC on Polygon or another low-fee network.

A wallet also means you are responsible for your own funds: there is no password reset if you lose your recovery phrase, and sending to the wrong network can lose money permanently. Start small and double-check the network shown by the platform before depositing.
