Polymarket Introduces 15-Minute Gold and Silver Contracts via Chainlink
Polymarket has launched 15-minute gold and silver event contracts, utilising Chainlink oracle feeds to automate the rapid settlement of short-term commodity trades.

Decentralised prediction platform Polymarket has introduced ultra-short-term commodity markets, launching 15-minute contracts tied to the price movements of gold and silver. The platform is utilising oracle network Chainlink to provide the data feeds required to resolve the rapidly expiring contracts.
The new additions allow participants to trade on whether the price of either precious metal will finish higher or lower across rolling 15-minute windows. By integrating Chainlink's financial data feeds, Polymarket automates contract resolution directly on-chain, settling outcomes against verified market prices without relying on manual reporting.
Short-duration event contracts have become an increasingly prominent segment of the prediction-market landscape. While prediction venues are traditionally associated with longer-horizon outcomes—such as election results or annual macroeconomic metrics—short-interval markets function similarly to binary options, allowing traders to express views on intraday volatility within a peer-to-peer structure.
The move marks a further expansion into conventional financial assets for Polymarket, which has built the vast majority of its liquidity around political races and macroeconomic announcements. By offering high-frequency precious metals contracts, the platform broadens its scope to cater to active traders seeking continuous, fast-resolving market action.
