Robinhood Lists Prediction Market Contracts on Ether Price

Retail brokerage Robinhood has listed prediction market contracts tracking the future price of Ethereum, expanding retail access to crypto-linked event trading.

PredictionSites Newsroom · 30 October 2026

Retail investing platform Robinhood has introduced prediction market contracts tracking the future price of Ethereum, enabling participants to trade on where the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation will stand at specified future dates, including long-dated contracts extending into 2026.

Event contracts of this type allow market participants to buy and sell positions based on whether an underlying asset will trade above or below a specified price threshold by a designated settlement time. Under standard prediction-market mechanics, contract prices fluctuate between zero and one hundred cents, reflecting the collective probability estimated by active traders. Upon expiry, contracts settle at maximum value if the stated condition is met, or expire worthless if it is not.

Cryptocurrency price benchmarks have become an increasingly popular segment across event-contract venues and betting exchanges. Unlike conventional spot trading or perpetual futures, binary event markets provide defined-risk exposure, limiting maximum losses to the purchase price of the contract while removing the risk of margin liquidation.

The listing highlights Robinhood's continuing expansion into event-driven derivatives, bringing prediction-style financial products directly to a mainstream retail audience alongside traditional equities and digital assets.
