Financial data giant S&P Global has entered into a partnership with US prediction-market platform Kalshi, expanding its footprint across digital assets and event contracts.

Financial intelligence provider S&P Global has announced a partnership with US-regulated prediction market Kalshi, marking a further strategic expansion by the data firm into digital assets and novel trading products.
Kalshi operates an exchange supervised by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), allowing participants to trade event contracts settled on binary outcomes across macroeconomic data, political milestones, and digital currency benchmarks. The alliance links one of the world’s most prominent index and market information providers with an exchange focused entirely on event-driven derivatives.
Traditional financial institutions have increasingly sought to integrate their benchmark methodologies and data feeds into digital asset infrastructure. In event-contract markets, reliable third-party indices and data sources are vital for the transparent clearing and settlement of trades, particularly as trading activity linked to digital currency markets attracts broader retail and institutional engagement.
The collaboration illustrates the ongoing convergence between conventional capital market infrastructure and emerging forecasting platforms. By aligning with established benchmark administrators such as S&P Global, prediction exchanges aim to strengthen institutional confidence, enhance data reliability, and expand the range of tradeable financial and economic events offered on their platforms.
